This beautiful modern family house called “Ice House” is located just outside the Iceland capital, Reykjavik, and has 1500 square feet. The architect created a sustainable house respectful of the natural surroundings that meet the requirements of the local regulations. The house was designed to maximize solar power and cross ventilation to reduce the energy bills.
The back of the house is filled with natural light since almost all the walls are made out of glass.
The wood patio features a beautiful outside shower.
The interior decor is modern but rustic with the natural materials used.
The house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a separated loft.
The rooms are filled with natural light and the glass walls give amazing views of the scenery to the family.
The natural materials used throughout the house bring the outdoors inside.
The home is a physical proof that sustainability can also mean great visual design, what do you think? Let us know in the comments.
